On 10th January Sue & I traveled back to Portarlington for our first visit since March 2017 when our 40 year old property was sold.
We stayed with Kevin & Chris Holland along with Leonie Bourke & Christine Vescio to attend the mussel festival on Saturday 13th March.
The festival was very good and we got shelter in the mussel demo tent when it rained. We had mussels for lunch and went back home and cooked up 6 kgs of mussels for dinner.
Kevin played some Fr Ted DVD's for those who had't caught up with the irrevant Fr Ted. Unfortunately Kevin's knee joint replacement op hasn't gone completely to plan and he has more work to be done to get the new knee working properly.
Chris Vescio told us about her trip with AFLW daughter Darcy Vescio and the upcoming Carlton FC/ Virgin video of there trip to China &; Italy to trace Darcy's roots.
We went to Geelong botanical gardens and met up with Amy & Olli for an enjoyable lunch and afternoon.
Kevin & Chris & I spent an enjoyable day at Greig & Lesley's lovely farmlet at Berembroke near Anakie eating, touring the farm and catching up.
After a great long weekend, we returned home on 17th January concluding our first mini holiday for 2018.
